Nervous Luther (Don Knotts) is a typesetter at the local newspaper and longs to become a reporter. He gets his chance when, as part of a publicity campaign, he must spend a night in a supposedly haunted house. Fun fare, and Luther even gets the prettiest girl in town, Alma Parker (Joan Staley, a former "Playboy" centerfold).
