Val Kilmer stars in this Oliver Stone movie about the late rocker, The Doors' front man Jim Morrison. As is often the case, Stone's work is unique. It not only tells the story, almost documentary style, of a beach boy-poet who turns into a self-destructive, obnoxious rock star. It is a good example of how fame is often a two-edged sword.
