An eccentric Egyptologist, Professor Morlant (Boris Karloff), was buried with a jewel that guaranteed immortality. After his grave is robbed, Morlant's corpse rises from the crypt during the next full moon. He sets out after the robbers, and murders ensue before Morlant retrieves the jewel and then returns to his crypt with it.
