Based on the Marvel comics superhero, this film was the pilot for a TV series. This being his daytime job, he works as a photographer for the newspaper by night. His major task at the moment is saving the world from a mad scientist who blackmails the city by threatening to unleash people programmed to blow themselves up.

Along with Carla, whose geologist husband was killed when he attempted the same journey, and their guide Hans (Peter Ronson), they journey through an extinct volcano into Earth's core. On the trek, they encounter floods, winds, and treacherous areas of heat and cold–along with prehistoric beasts and Count Saknussemm (Thayer David) who killed Carla's husband and has been striving to be the first person to reach the center of Earth. Special effects are what earn this film its three stars.
