Meanwhile, Tex has fallen in love with settler Suzannah (Wanda McKay) whose father was killed in the raid. A series of misadventures follow, after which Carson is caught, and Suzannah joins Tex on a new wagon train and continues with her plans to settle in the West. Loosely based on James Fenimore Cooper's "The Leatherstocking Tales."

But, again, Tex is there when needed.
