An expedition to Infant Island looking for the remnants of a meteorite finds two tiny women, called "Cosmos" who are the remnants of an ancient civilization. They inform expedition members that Earth is fighting back for the harm humans are inflicting and that monster Battron has been sent to destroy the bad elements on Earth. The Cosmos call Mothra to fight back, but Godzilla also awakens, and the three-way battle for Earth begins.
