The road leads to the film's climax in Central America where the deadly ping-pong games transpire.

Warden Hazen (James Cromwell) makes a deal with Crewe to help his prison guard team win the league championship. But, as Crewe and fellow prisoner Caretaker (Chris Rock) begin working with their team of convicts, Crewe decides to go for the win.

Rasputia has taunted Norbit since they were children and now continues her efforts as a hen-pecking wife. Then, one day, Norbit is reunited with his childhood sweetheart, Kate (Thandie Newton), who arrives to run the orphanage. Kate is engaged to slick Deion (Cuba Gooding Jr.), and Rasputia is more than prepared to keep Kate and Norbit apart. The film received an Academy Award nomination for Makeup.
