  Rich Australian Ian (Terence Cooper) isn't at all happy with his daughter's, Alex (Emma Samms), choice to marry an over-the-hill rugby player (Vernon Wells) and states that he would accept anyone else. Alex recruits a waiter in a Mexican restaurant, Carlos (Cheech Marin), to pretend to be her new boyfriend figuring that her father would change his mind after meeting Carlos. But, Ian takes a liking to Carlos, and the "fun" begins.
