The Kid Brother 1927 N/R, 83 min. Genre: Family / Comedy / Drama / Romance
Director: Ted Wilde, J.A. Howe, Lewis Milestone Cast: Harold Lloyd, Jobyna Ralston, Walter James, Leo Willis, Olin Francis, Constantine Romanoff, Eddie Boland, Frank Lanning, Ralph Yearsley, Frank Mitchell, Arthur Millett, Gus Leonard
This is perhaps Harold Lloyd's greatest film–a real silent classic, which is both hilarious and warm. Tough Sheriff Jim Hickory has two tough sons–Leo and Olin (Leo Willis and Olin Francis)–and one wimpy one, Harold (Lloyd). The only way for Harold to win respect is to out-think the others while also trying to win the affection of his fair maiden Mary (Jobyna Ralston). Then, when the town's money is stolen, and Harold's father is accused, Harold is the one who must save the day.
