Basket Case 2   1990     1 star    R, 89 min.
Genre: Horror / Thriller
Director: Frank Henenlotter
Cast: Kevin Van Hentenryck, Annie Ross, Kathryn Meisle, Heather Rattray, Jason Evers, Ted Sorel, Matt Mitler, Beverly Bonner, Leonard Jackson

Duane (Kevin Van Hentenryck) and his mutant twin brother are back, having survived certain death at the end of the previous film. As is often the case, this one just doesn't click like the original. They take refuge in a house of freaks with a reporter hot on their trail. Weird, but it will appeal to some.

Aboard the ship is Prospero's brother Antonio (Ted Sorel) and the king's son Ferdinand (Nicholas Hammond). Prospero wants to settle a score with Antonio because 12 years earlier, Prospero had ruled Milan–until Antonio interfered and sent Prospero and Miranda adrift at sea. Meanwhile, the spirit Ariel (Duane Black) magically sends Ferdinand to Miranda, and they fall in love. Ariel also plays a role in saving Prospero from half-man, half-beast Caliban (William Hootkins), and, by story's end, they are all–except Caliban–sailing back to Italy.
