Happiness (Forest Whitaker) is a business executive who is told a race is rigged and bets everything. Sorrow (Sara Michelle Gellar) is pop singer Trista who faces losing her career when she cuts off all ties to her manager. Love (Kevin Bacon) is a doctor who must treat Gina (Julie Delpy) who had turned him down romantically. Last but not least, Pleasure (Brendan Fraser) is a criminal who deals with his premonitions and his failure to change the future.
