Debutante Edie Sedgwick (Sienna Miller) drops out of college in 1965 and heads to New York hoping to escape a past filled with family tragedies. She meets young Andy Warhol (Guy Pearce) who tells her he will make her a star and features her in a series of art films. Edie gains stardom–only to find problems dealing with success, losing her grip on reality, and spiraling down into the world of drug and alcohol abuse.
