A white-trash couple, Watty (Gil Bellows) and Starlene (Rene Zellweger), are on the lam after Watty's partner Billy Mack (Rory Cochrane) kills a clerk during a robbery. The couple rob banks and have even become cop killers during their flight as the law and two loan sharks follow in pursuit. TV coverage makes the couple popular in this violent, but somewhat fun, film.
