Chains of Gold 1991 R, 95 min. Genre: Drama
Director: Rod Holcomb Cast: John Travolta, Marilu Henner, Joey Lawrence, Bernie Casey, Hector Elizondo, Benjamin Bratt, Ramon Franco, Conchata Ferrell, Raphael Rey Gomez, Tammy Lauren
Although originally made for theatrical release, this film did not see the light of day for two years–on TV. Social worker Scott (John Travolta)–a recovering alcoholic and responsible for his son's death in a car accident–has a chance to atone for his mistake when he sets out to rescue a teen from a drug ring. Another weak Travolta entry. 1 User Review

| | Anonymous 03/06/2007 | | You would have to live a movie like this to appreciate this movie. I felt it touched the core of life, and could not believe it was so lowly rated. These people do live everyday, and although they do not have the greatness, they are enjoined in a struggle of life, and there greatest gift is laughter and love. Can you see it? Most people are blind to this reality thinking they are superior, not knowing that being superior, is realitive. Isn't superior the ability to love? True food for thought. |
