This excellent TV miniseries does justice to Jane Austen's classic tale of the relationships of two people caught in the 19th-century class system when headstrong Elizabeth (Jennifer Ehle) meets wealthy Mr. Darcy (Colin Firth). Darcy courts Elizabeth, and problems ensue over the issues of manners and love when the couple learns that they must deal with their different perspectives on life if they are to live their lives together.

Ultraviolet 1998 TV, 300 min. Genre: Horror / Thriller
Director: Joe Ahearne Cast: Jack Davenport, Susannah Harker, Idris Elba, Philip Quast, Colette Brown, Fiona Dolman, Thomas Lockyer, Stephen Moyer, Elizabeth Earl, Marc Bolton, Corin Redgrave, Matthew Butler, Ian Crowe
This British TV miniseries is much like "The X-Files"–for vampires. Vampires are on the increase, and a secret police team is formed to deal with the threat. Good, low-key acting and presentation.
