Highlander II: The Quickening 1991 R, 88 min. Genre: Action / Sci-Fi / Fantasy
Director: Russell Mulcahy Cast: Christopher Lambert, Virginia Madsen, Sean Connery, Michael Ironside, John C. McGinley, Allan Rich, Rusty Schwimmer, Phil Brock, Ed Trucco, Steven Grives, Jimmy Murray, Pete Antico, Peter Bromilow, Jeff Altman, Peter Bucossi
Special effects are very good in this film; however, the plot is weak. Once again, McLeod (Christopher Lambert) and his mentor, Ramirez (Sean Connery), are on Earth evading the evil dictator (Michael Ironside) who is trying to control their destinies.

Inseminoid 1981 R, 90 min. Genre: Sci-Fi aka: Horror Planet
Director: Norman J. Warren Cast: Judy Geeson, Robin Clarke, Jennifer Ashley, Stephanie Beacham, Steven Grives, Barrie Houghton, Rosalind Lloyd, Victoria Tennant, Trevor Thomas, Heather Wright
A research team is investigating a remote planet when one member, Sandy (Judy Geeson), is attacked and impregnated by a gross monster. She immediately gains super strength and a mad craving for blood to feed her two developing monsters. Thus, the crew members are dealt with one-by-one until she gives birth. The rescue shuttle arrives and finds no one left except the monsters–that wreak havoc on the trip home. Real trash, but an "ugly" bit of fun in this "Alien" rip-off.

The series tries to make a comeback as Freddy (Robert Englund) returns and becomes active in the dreams of Alice's (Lisa Wilcox)–the heroine of the previous film–unborn child. Gore abounds in this very violent, but entertaining, film.
