Mary "Mouse" (Misha Barton) is beginning her freshman year at an exclusive boarding school and becomes friends with seniors Paulie (Piper Perabo) and Tory (Jessica Pare). Paulie and Tory are lesbian lovers and rebel against sexual mores. When they are caught, they break up and then embark on a series of silly disruptions–including Paulie's extreme measures to win back Tory. Mouse, meanwhile, is caught in the middle and torn in her loyalties to Paulie and Tory.
