  James Brooks directed this much acclaimed film about the romantic and professional entanglements of three television news reporters: a bright, highly principled producer (Holly Hunter), an idiot of an anchorman with public appeal (William Hurt), and a talented reporter (Albert Brooks). Several Oscar nominations were received including Best Picture, Actor (Hurt), Actress (Hunter), and Supporting Actor (Brooks).

  Based on Peter Maas' novel, this story is about Dave (Eric Roberts), the grandson of gypsy King Zharko Stepanowicz (Sterling Hayden) who dies and passes the title of "King of the Gypsies" on to Dave. Although he wants to forget his heritage and enjoy life as a Manhattanite, Dave is forced into a feud over who can claim the gypsy crown when his father, Groffo (Judd Hirsch), plots to murder Dave and take the title for himself.
