  Doctor Yamauchi (Sonny Chiba) wanders the frozen Earth after its near destruction from a deadly virus. In the aftermath, there are only 858 men and eight women left in the world. They are members of international Antarctic research teams of scientists, and the reason they are still alive is that the cold is killing off the germs. The second disaster is nuclear, and now the question is, "Will there be any survivors?"
