  Eddie Cantrow (Ben Stiller) is 40 years old and single, and he has been getting pressure from his father, Doc (Stiller's real-life father Jerry Stiller), and best friend Mac (Rob Corddry) to marry and settle down. He meets Lila (Malin Akerman), and six weeks later Eddie marries her, and they head for their honeymoon at Cabo Saint Lucas. Before they even reach Cabo, Eddie realizes that Lila comes with many problems and that he has made a big mistake in marrying her. Now, Eddie meets the girl of his dreams, Miranda (Michelle Monaghan), while still on his "honeymoon" and begins to realize that she is the one he should have married.
