Nora James (Stephanie Castellarin) is a 12-year old who lives with her emotionally disturbed mother, Dolores (Patricia Kalember) until Dolores attempts suicide. Nora then goes to stay with Aunt Rose (Katherine Ross)–a solution to the problem that makes Nora even more miserable, and she makes a difficult choice to return home to help her father, Martin (Brian Delate), raise her siblings.
