Director: Walter Grauman Cast: Robert Preston, Beau Bridges, Burgess Meredith, Linda Purl, Anthony Newley, Mel Ferrer, William Allen Young, Bill Dearth, Steven Marlo, Stan Haze, Brent Jennings, Robert Miano, Myron Natwick, Ric Mancini, Vincent Howard
Based on Henry Denker's bestseller, this TV movie is good watching with a strong cast. Dennis Riordan (Robert Preston) admits to killing his daughter's murderer after the loopholes in the legal system set him free. Riordan hires lawyer Brad Gordon (Beau Bridges), and an excellent courtroom drama unfolds when Gordon challenges Judge Michael Lengel (Mel Ferrer) and the legal system that failed.
