Aubrey (Lindsay Lohan) has it all: top grades in college, multiple talents, looks, and money. She also has a dark side–writing stories about a girl who feels she is only half a person. Aubrey is kidnapped by a serial killer and is tortured, losing an arm and a leg. Two weeks later, Aubrey is found, but the look-alike insists she isn't Aubrey, but Dakota, the girl created by Aubrey. Dakota, now with artificial limbs, takes on a life of porn while her parents and police try to figure out what's going on. A disappointing film.

They encounter more than a few problems along the way but end up with a newly found friendship among the three.

But, most of the money goes for drugs, and his life spirals down into the depths of heroin addiction.

After giving a homeless man (Brent Briscoe) a ride and money, saying "Yes" to bank loan requests, organizing a wedding shower for his friend Peter's (Bradley Cooper) wife, and even saying "Yes" to free-spirited, scooter-riding Allison (Zooey Deschanel), Carl has become a changed man.
