Homicidal   1961     2 and a half stars    N/R, 87 min.
Genre: Horror / Mystery / Thriller
Director: William Castle
Cast: Glenn Corbett, Patricia Breslin, Joan Marshall, Eugenie Leontovich, Alan Bunce, Richard Rust, James Westerfield, Gilbert Green, Wolfe Barzell, Hope Summers, William Castle, Joseph Forte, "Snub" Pollard, Hope Summers, Teri Brooks

William Castle was at his best in this eerie tale, a different take on the "Psycho" theme. A young woman (Joan Marshall) asks a bellhop, who she just met, to marry her, promising it would be annulled. She kills the Justice of the Peace that married them and heads to a creepy house to nurse an old, paralyzed woman and her strange son. The old woman's niece becomes suspicious after her aunt is brutally murdered, and she then finds out that her new boyfriend is the nurse in drag. Wild, gory fun. Director Castle had a "Fright Break" near the end of the film so that those who wanted to could leave.

World War I veteran Pete Kelly (Jack Webb) plays his trumpet and performs with his jazz band while romancing socialite Ivy Conrad (Janet Leigh). But, life is not easy in the days of Prohibition, and Pete endures frequent confrontations with mob boss Fran McCarg (Edmond O'Brien)–culminating in a shootout at the nightclub. The music makes this film well worth watching, and the many songs include Ella Fitzgerald performing "Hard-Hearted Hannah" and Peggy Lee singing "He Needs Me." Rollin' Plains   1938     1 star    N/R, 60 min.
Genre: Western
Director: Albert Herman
Cast: Tex Ritter, Horace Murphy, "Snub" Pollard, Harriet Bennet, Hobart Bosworth, Ed Cassidy, Karl Hackett, Charles King, Ernie Adams, Lynton Brent, Horace B. Carpenter, Hank Worden

Ranger Tex (Tex Ritter) rides into town to settle a feud between cattlemen and sheep men. But it's not all that simple since the feud is being fueled by a respected citizen who has his eyes set on being the big boss. One of Tex's weakest films, which was completed after Tex had signed with a rival company. So the small budget was even smaller for this film, and the last reel was completely lifted from a previous film.
