  A young, orphaned boy (Devin Douglas Drewitz) is taken in by his aunt (Marthe Keller) and uncle (Burt Reynolds). Not feeling welcome in his new home and bullied at his new school in a new town, he spends time in the open spaces, where he finds a young, injured wolf. He nurses the wolf back to health while keeping it hidden, but eventually it becomes harder and harder to protect the wolf.
