A cipher found near the body begins Langdon's and cryptologist Sophie Neveu's (Audrey Tautou) thrilling race for the secrets of the cipher, which includes Leonardo Da Vinci's hidden meanings in his paintings and encounters with secret societies. This film version tiptoes around the more controversial parts of the novel.
