This prequel to "Carlito's Way" relates the early years of Puerto Rican Carlito Brigante (Jay Hernandez) as he begins his rise in the 1960s' drug world of Harlem. But problems lie ahead with Carlito's girlfriend Leticia (Jaclyn DeSantis), Earl's family, and the Mafia.
