After graduating from high school, aspiring cartoonist Hoops McCann (John Cusack) spends the summer before college vacationing with his friend George (Joel Murray) on Nantucket where he plans to write a cartoon love story. While traveling to Nantucket, they pick up Cassandra (Demi Moore) who is on her way to her grandfather's funeral. When Cassandra learns that her grandfather's home is going to be turned into a lobster restaurant, Hoops and George, along with their friends Ack Ack (Curtis Armstrong) and the Stork twins (Bob Goldthwait and Tom Villard), come up with a plan to save the home. As the story progresses, occasional cartoon sequences fill the screen illustrating what is going on. Sequel to "Better Off Dead."

Brittney Aarons (Danielle Panabaker) leads a totally boring life, according to her, until hip and cool Natasha Kwon-Shwartz (Brenda Song) moves to town. Although Brittney's friends dislike Natasha, she befriends the new girl, and when pop-star Jordan Cahill (Taran Killam) comes to town for a music video, the girls go to watch the filming together. In a flash, Brittney's life becomes anything but boring when she bumps into Jordan's assistant, and, unnoticed by either, her cell phone is switched with Jordan's. Brittney and Natasha take charge of Jordan's life, using the cell phone to change his look. But they are in over their heads as they realize when they almost get Jordan's best friend fired!
