Roald Dahl's children's story is brought to the screen with Mara Wilson in the title role. Matilda is a very bright girl whose parents (Danny DeVito and Rhea Perlman) neglect her. When she is enrolled in Crutchem Hall, a grade school with the evil Trunchbul (Pam Ferris), Matilda's problems increase.
