This is based on a true story and conveys the excitement of the time. Woods was nominated for an Oscar.

But, Geoffrey has other plans for his future, and they don't include redemption. This is Malcolm Lowry's autobiography. Finney's performance is great, and he received an Academy Award nomination for Best Actor.
