Enter the new Defense Against Dark Arts instructor Dolores Umbridge (Imelda Staunton) whose cheerful exterior hides her dark soul. She sees Harry as a thorn in her side when he trains his classmates to defend themselves against Voldemort's dark magic. Umbridge throws the school into chaos when she launches a full-scale inquisition and gets some of Harry's classmates to spy on Harry to aid in her discrediting of him.
