  Texas Rangers Hopalong Cassidy (William Boyd), California (Andy Clyde), and Johnny (Jay Kirby) are tasked to break up the smuggling of Mexicans into the U.S. who are being held as, essentially, slaves in Orestes' (Russell Simpson) silver mine. When one Mexican is shot by a member of the Orestes gang, the Rangers are convicted by a kangaroo court and sentenced to be hanged. They escape and, with great dispatch, take care of the situation. Look for young Robert Mitchum as one of the gang members.

  "Fox" (Morris Ankrum) leads a tough gang that does its "business" along the Mexican border. He comes to town acting as coarse and nasty as possible in order to get noticed, and it works–he is hired by the leader. Hoppy finds out that Fox has been posing as the town's moron, but he is found out. Will Hoppy succeed in his mission? A good entry.

The Kid gets a job as a guard at Jessup's saloon and eventually exacts his revenge.
