  This plot involves 48 hours in the life of a childless couple Sophie and Otto Brentwood (Shirley Maclaine and Kenneth Mars), during 1971, as they realize they and their neighbors no longer feel safe in their Brooklyn Heights neighborhood. During a party given by their friends Mike and Flo (Chris Gampel and Mary Alan Hokanson), a rock crashes through the window. And, this is only one of the disturbing dangers intruding on their lives in the city.

Gradually, Laura begins to realize that she is being stalked by the killer who seems to be trying to discredit her photography work.
