Petula (Rachel Weisz) and Dorothy (Susan Lynch) share in their poor judgment of men, which becomes clear when Tony (Iain Glen) throws paint at Dorothy when she leaves him and Brian (Tom Mannion) tries to strangle Petula for even less reason. But Dorothy manages to save Petula by heaving a heavy pipe across Brian's head. Brian later dies, and the women are faced with the problem of hiding a corpse. The solution: cut off Brian's finger and send it with a ransom note.

Together, Mowgli, Kitty, and Kitty's boyfriend Capt. Boone (Cary Elwes) set off to find a lost city. Along the way they encounter Mowgli's animal friends. Good Disney fare.

Not a bad remake of the classic story as Richard E. Grant takes on the role of Sir Percy Blakeney who saves aristocrats from the guillotine during the French Revolution. Blakeney disguises himself and rescues innocent victims who are sentenced to the guillotine. Unbeknownst to his wife Marguerite (Elizabeth McGovern), Blakeney carries out his efforts and leaves behind a red pimpernel flower for which he is named. When Chauvelin (Martin Shaw) closes in on the case, he uses Marguerite to trap the Pimpernel.
