  Despite attentions from many men, St. Louis cabaret blues singer Ruby Carter (Mae West) falls in love with boxer Tiger Kid (Roger Pryor). When Tiger's manager Kirby (James Donlan) wants Ruby out of Tiger's life, she agrees to go and moves to New Orleans. More problems between Ruby and Tiger lie ahead involving the theft of Ruby's jewels. But, by story's end, Ruby ends up with her true love. Duke Ellington and His Orchestra perform, and West sings; the songs include "My Old Flame," "St. Louis Woman," and "Memphis Blues."

  Teenager Joan (Judy Clark) reads a psychology book and believes that she is officially grown up. To prove it, she sets out to win her older sister Ethel's (Constance Worth) suitor J. Waldo Barnes (Roger Pryor). After her mother (Ruth Robinson) catches on to Joan's plan, she forbids Joan from attending a party for Barnes at their home that night. Joan dresses up as a parlor maid and plans to attend anyway. Things go from bad to worse. Joan escapes out a window, accepts a ride from a burgler (Frank Jenks), and is in for a night of surprises–only to end up with Barnes by story's end.

  After the success of "Lady for a Day" the previous year, May Robson was cast in a similar role–this time as Patsy Patterson, a drunken, feisty derelict. Brought before a judge, she is sent to an "old ladies" home. At the same time, "Alabam" Lee (Carole Lombard) is brought before the judge for her racy, fan dancing performance. Alabam's agent thinks her image will be improved if she has a mother, so it's off to the old ladies' home to choose one. Of course, she picks Patsy, and both are helped by the choice.

But when Danny is severely injured by the escaped Butch, the gang comes to his aid. A weak entry in the series.

Emma uncovers the fact that Mickey is a victim of mobsters controlling the boxing matches, and the gangsters mistakenly believe that Emma heads up the Ma Barker gang. Emma goes along with the deception, joins forces with a reporter (Roger Pryor), and frees Mickey from gang control.
