Beethoven meets another St. Bernard, Missy, and she becomes his mate and bears a litter of adorable puppies. But, Missy's hateful owner Regina (Debi Mazar) takes Missy away, and plans to use her in a divorce settlement. The Newton kids kidnap the puppies and head off with their parents for a vacation in Montana–with Regina and her boyfriend Floyd (Chris Penn) in pursuit.
