Billy regularly visits invalid Leslie Odell (June Allyson) who becomes jealous when he tells her about Veronica. Billy and Veronica visit a bar that gets raided, and Veronica is put in jail. Paul does appear to bail her out, and she learns that her father, the king, has died and that she is now the queen. By story's end, Valerie and Paul are a couple, and Jimmy and Leslie have discovered their love for each other.
