  Toward the end of World War II, U.S. troops attempted to capture the last remaining bridge over the Rhine River to keep the Germans from destroying it. Meanwhile, the German officer in charge (Robert Vaughn) delayed the demolition, which precluded German soldiers from returning home. Good acting.

  Based on Louis L'Amour's novel, this is the story of Catlow's (Yul Brynner) attempt to take off with a fortune in gold and the subsequent hunt for him by friend and foe alike. Hot on Catlow's trail is Marshal Ben Cowan (Richard Crenna) who was Catlow's Civil War buddy. Also in pursuit is a killer, Miller (Leonard Nimoy), who has been hired to kill Catlow. The action sequences in this film are very good.
