This is Suzanne's (now played by Scarlett Johansson) story as seen through her eyes as a 15-year-old who revisits Hungary in an attempt to come to terms with the circumstances of her life. An uplifting story for all ages.

Songs include "Whole Lotta Shakin' Goin' On," "Real Wild Child," "Crazy Arms," and the title song "Great Balls of Fire!" to round out the hits.

Now the family is visited by the evil spirit of cult leader Henry Kane (Julian Beck), and, once again, they contact psychic medium Tangina Barrons (Zelda Rubinstein) for help. As in the first film, the special effects are excellent.

But, after their boss Captain Logan (Dan Hedaya) chews them out for blowing the cover on the operation, they leave Chicago and take a forced vacation in Key West where they enjoy the sunshine. They have so much fun in Key West that they decide to retire–after they return to Chicago and put an end to Julio and his drug ring. Hines and Crystal play well off each other and make this an enjoyable movie.
