Felix Unger (Tony Randall) and his wife Gloria (Barbara Barrie) are planning their daughter Edna's (Toni Kalem) wedding but are having difficulties working together. So, Gloria tells Felix to leave for a few days, and he heads to Oscar Madison's (Jack Klugman) apartment where he discovers that Oscar is recuperating after having a vocal cord removed. More problems enter the picture–especially when it is learned that Edna's fiance has been married and divorced twice before–but when it comes time for the wedding, everything is settled.

We didn't really need a sequel, but there may be some appeal to a follow-up of a loser, and this film fills the bill. As the story continues, Larry and Richard (Andrew McCarthy and Jonathan Silverman), who are suspected of fraud, set out to clear their names. However, they will need Bernie, but he is dead.
