Plucking the Daisy 1956 N/R, 100 min. Genre: Foreign / Comedy aka: Please Mr. Balzac Mam'selle Striptease
Director: Marc Allegret Cast: Brigitte Bardot, Daniel Gelin, Robert Hirsch, Jacques Dumesnil, Darry Cowl, Nadine Tallier, Luciana Paluzzi, Jacques Bouillaud, Georges Chamarat, Jacques Fervil
Young Agnes (Brigitte Bardot) writes a scandalous book, and daddy finds out–so she is shipped to a convent school. She "escapes" from the train and heads to Paris where she stays with her brother and, when in need of money, she decides to make the men go crazy by winning a striptease contest. Mainly a vehicle for showing off Bardot, but it is still a fun-filled Paris romp.
