During their search, Malcolm and his troops must find a way to beat Apache chief Two Knives (Carlos Rivas) and his braves who are closing in on them.

But before they can take care of the monster, it wrecks the Golden Gate Bridge as well as other San Francisco landmarks. As usual, special effects innovator Ray Harryhausen's scenes are excellent for the time.

Jimmy owns a model triplane that is possessed by that infamous World War I Red Baron (voice of John C. McDonnell) who is now shooting real bullets. Who does Jimmy turn to? Why, Grandpa, of course, because he is the one who shot down the real Red Baron during the war.
