  With his fiancee Phyllis Claverling (Louise Campbell), his servant Tenny (E.E. Clive), and friend Algy Longworth (Reginald Denny) along for the ride with him, Bulldog Drummond (John Howard) is on the trail of the secret formula for a powerful bomb that has been stolen by Draven Nogais (Frank Puglia). The trail leads to a train headed for Paris. Of course, Scotland Yard's Col. Neilson (John Barrymore) is also on the trail, and adventures ensue.

Johnnie heads out of town and hides out at Grandma Rafferty's (May Robson) ranch where he finds security among the juvenile delinquents working there. Meanwhile, discredited Detective Monty Phelan (Claude Rains) does not believe that Johnnie died in the accident and, hoping to redeem himself, is on his trail.
