Lorre is great, and the musical score and special effects are good, especially for the time. Occasionally slow, but still a horror classic of sorts.

This incurs the wrath of Nicko who wants Johnny for herself. Meanwhile, wealthy yachtsman Gene Fairchild (John Eldredge) falls in love with Shelby. But, Shelby and Johnny elope and are finding happiness. When Johnny is away, Gene asks Shelby to help him entertain a client aboard his yacht, and Shelby agrees. After the client falls overboard and drowns, Gene is tried for the murder but is saved when Shelby arrives as the "woman in red" and testifies in Gene's defense. Gene is acquitted, and Johnny and his family stand by Shelby.
