  A rich, invalid pianist dies and leaves everything to his nurse, much to the dismay of his relatives and personal secretary, Hilary (Peter Lorre). Hilary cuts off one of the pianist's hands, but finds that was a mistake as the hand gets a life of its own–and is after Hilary. Lorre is great, and the musical score and special effects are good, especially for the time. Occasionally slow, but still a horror classic of sorts.

Based on a Damon Runyon story. By the way, "Johnny One-Eye" is the dog's name in this story that's a little slow.

Tensions mount, and Robert is killed, while Raymond gains the love of Dale as they finally put an end to the criminals' plot. Good, fast-moving fare with top cast.

Blackie and The Runt track down a gang of spies working out of Coney Island, and, with help from Cecelia Bradley (Rochelle Hudson), who insists on joining them, they crack the case.

  Powell is pursuing escaped Nazi Martin Bruner, who enlists in the French Foreign Legion to hide from the Allies (as many Nazis in fact did). Powell also enlists and they end up in French Indo-China for a slam bang finale. Great movie...

  Equestrian Shelby Barret (Barbara Stanwyck) works at wealthy widow "Nicko" Nicholas' (Genevieve Tobin) stables and becomes involved with polo player Johnny Wyatt (Gene Raymond). This incurs the wrath of Nicko who wants Johnny for herself. Meanwhile, wealthy yachtsman Gene Fairchild (John Eldredge) falls in love with Shelby. But, Shelby and Johnny elope and are finding happiness. When Johnny is away, Gene asks Shelby to help him entertain a client aboard his yacht, and Shelby agrees. After the client falls overboard and drowns, Gene is tried for the murder but is saved when Shelby arrives as the "woman in red" and testifies in Gene's defense. Gene is acquitted, and Johnny and his family stand by Shelby.
