In this animated 3-D adventure, Coraline Jones (voice of Dakota Fanning) is a new girl in town, has no friends her age, and her parents (voices of Teri Hatcher and John Hodgman) are busy with their own lives. Coraline explores her new home and finds a secret door through which she crawls and enters an "Other" world filled with magic. She meets her "Other Mother" (also the voice of Teri Hatcher) and is enchanted by the attention she gives her. But, when Coraline discovers the dangers in her "Other" world, she must use her resourcefulness and even bravery to find her way back to her real world and save her real family. An Oscar nomination was received for Best Animated Feature.
