In this double-crossing hit man story, the "heroine," Claire (Kyra Sedgwick), is sent off by her gangster boss (Robbie Coltrane) to track-down his runaway girlfriend, Kitty (Robin Tunney). Along on the mission are Claire's terminally ill hit man lover Nick (Stanley Tucci) and the boss' son, Jimmy (Ethan Embry). But, when Claire kills Jimmy during a rape attempt, the tables are turned, and Claire becomes the foil when the boss' right-hand man, Duncan (Philip Seymour Hoffman), takes over.
