  Loosely based on Shakespeare's play, this film version focuses on what ensues after the King of Naples (Peter Bull) and his family are shipwrecked by a tempest at sea and washed ashore on an island occupied by his exiled son Prospero (Heathcote Williams) and Prospero's daughter Miranda (Toyah Willcox). Prospero is a sorcerer and uses the help of the airy spirit Arial (Karl Johnson) to turn his world into an idyllic place. Now, Prospero's existence is threatened with the arrival of the shipwrecked survivors and those who seek revenge.
