Meanwhile, Tanner has not given up and is devising another plan to prevent the catastrophe and save Earth.

By film's end, the audience has no clue of what these two are doing together, and, probably, it does not matter.

But Ben's wife (Penelope Ann Miller) decides to head there too to see what's going on, including whether or not there is a son or just a rekindling of an affair. This comedy/drama is disappointing, especially considering the cast.

He misses his flight, calls Marvin, and is told that he is fired. While consoling himself at the airport bar, Harvey meets Kate (Emma Thompson) who has her own problems but consoles Harvey, and he returns for the wedding reception where he offers a compassionate toast.

David goes along with what Dennis says and does and, in the process, becomes a better man.
