  After escaping from a concentration camp in Nazi Germany, Dr. Ravic (Anthony Hopkins) arrives in Paris and sets out to seek revenge against his former prison guard Haake (Donald Pleasence). Meanwhile, Ravic uses an assumed name and still practices medicine. One night, he prevents Joan Madou (Lesley-Anne Down) from committing suicide, and the two begin a passionate, but ill-fated, love affair in which both hide secrets from the other.

Bart needs money to pay for his son Jimmy's (Claude Kingston) eye surgery, so he accepts the offer. When he confesses to Scotland Yard, they do not believe Bart. Heinz thinks that Bart has not kept his word and seeks revenge. Now, Bart's former boss' niece, Jill Brook (Lois Maxwell), steps in and puts an end to Heinz's criminal activities.

Robin and his "merry men" then rescue the Archbishop–despite problems when fair maid Marian (Sarah Branch) mistakes Robin for a murderer and leads him into a trap. Robin and his "merry men" also save Marian from the clutches of the evil Earl of Newark (Richard Pasco).
