Before he died, Gerry had written messages to Holly showing her the way to get back in life. Although Holly's mother (Kathy Bates) and her best friends (Lisa Kudrow and Gina Gershon) worry about the notes, those notes–signed "P.S. I love you."–are the very things that bring Holly out of her doldrums.
